Google also announced bulk business upload capabilities for the GoogleMyBusiness dashboard. This is a must-have for businesses with many locations. One point to note, however, bulk uploads never have been, and still aren’t for service area businesses.
Apple released it’s challenge to the big players in the local search space by finally creating a self-serve portal for local businesses. Available only in the US at the moment, you can log in and update your business info. It’s restricted to physical locations only (so no service area businesses or from-home businesses).
