Google Webmaster Series Part 1 of 7: Bring your Local Business Online

Google has published a great series of six videos to help local business owners who serve customers in person.  The videos are about helping you be found when people are looking for you online, and want to reach customers online.

In this part 1 of 7, some key points are:

  • Website requirements
  • Online places to list your business including review sites like Yelp and social media sites such as Google+ and Facebook
  • The importance of focusing on mobile customers
    • 85% of smartphone users have searched for local information
    • 81% have taken action
    • 40% visited the business
    • 35% called the business

At the end of this series, we’ll supply you with a downloadable tip sheet based on this series.
