How the son of a terrorist rose above his parenting and so-called religion

Compelling viewing.

Watching this video gives me hope – that some communities, some people, some ways of thinking can be overcome.

From the mouth of the son of one of the terrorists responsible for the 911 Word Trade Centre come some real gems –

  • I don’t know what it’s like to be ___, but I’m well aware of what it’s like to be judged for something beyond my control (insert gay/black/mentally ill/jewish/any word that invokes a stereotype)
  • One’s race, religion or sexual orientation has nothing to do with the quality of one’s character.
  • …I realised how much negative energy it takes to hold hatred inside of you
